Kayla Mackie

SENIOR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Kayla Mackie is a senior clinical psychologist who completed her doctorate of Clinical Psychology at Massey University, with her research focusing on fathers’ changing roles in the lives of their children.

Kayla spent her early career working with children and adolescents in public mental health services in Palmerston North, Hamilton, and the rural Waikato, as well as adults in a private clinic in Hamilton, before moving to Wellington in mid-2023. 

Kayla enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and children with a range of difficulties. She has specialist experience in working with gender diverse clients of all ages, including affirming exploration of gender identity and support with accessing gender-affirming medical care, as well as people experiencing sexual dysfunctions, eating disorders, and anxiety.
